Dan,

From your sub-title it is clear that this school has no right to say "homosexuality is a sin". And whereas I enjoin all to deal with everyone in love, and not to discriminate against those who do not agree with you, I cannot see where your position can be sustained by Scripture.

God created sex, and he has a design for its proper use. All violations of that standard are SIN. Whether you or I agree with that or not. Apparently, you don't agree. And you claim to be enlightened to where sex outside of marriage is according to the dictates of our own desires and wishes, rather than the commandments of the Creator.

True, those who are supposed to administrate those rules do a lousy job. Our traditionalist churches, of which you were a part are the main offenders. I get that. This school seems to follow that same vein. I am not commenting on whether their position is right or wrong.

My contention is with you, Dan and your assertion that "homosexuality is a sin" is some unbiblical, tradition help by out-of-date fundamentalists who have no idea that society has moved on.

Homosexuality is a sin. That is clear from the Bible. How sinners should be dealt with is something that should be properly discussed and determined according to scriptural standards.

For instance, it is wrong of the Christian church to expect "the world" to live by their standards. I agree with you that our society should not make criminals and undesirables out of sinners. Who are only people who choose not to live by our standards.

But I contend, Dan, that because homosexuality is accepted in society today, and because homosexuals were treated wrongly in the past, and that should be corrected: does not alter the fundamental truth. The Church, and by extension our government has not handled truths the way God intended.

Trying to claim that homosexuality is not a sin is the other extreme of a dangerous philosophy.
